Game Review : "Hunters Collide"

"Hunters Collide"

A game review by Barbara Jane Junio

A game called "Hunters Collide" that was produced by Ira Angeline Dela Cruz from the company called "Game Kingdom". It is about companies of Diamond Hunters who are fighting each other to conquer the Diamond Industry in Africa. But conquering it is not an easy task, a lot of diamond hunters like you are aiming for it too.

It is a 'Push you luck' and Auction game. It was inspired by the game called "King of Tokyo". At the beginning of the game the map of Africa is drawn and at the center of it is the Diamond Industry. Only one player can stay in Africa at a time and then you earn Victory Points for staying in Africa.

Before the game begins, each player has to choose which character they want from the 6 Diamond Hunter Boards. The Diamond hunter boards have carton tokens that represent each character by using the board. The players can monitor their attacks and defenses. Their turns depends on the character they choose at the beginning of the game.

The players start their attacks to 12 and their defenses to 18. Each of them has 10 lives. If you want to attack, he or she needs to roll a dice or choose a bidding card. The attack can affect if his/her attack is greater than the defenses of opponents and if you attack the adjacent player toward you their life and defense will decrease.

You can choose any places you want so that their players can attack you. If you decided to stay at Africa your opponents can attack you and your defense and life will decrease but you can earn 1 Victory point in the first round and on the next round you can earn 2 victory points. As long as you stay in Africa, You will earn Victory Points.

The components of the game are 10 Bidding cards, 50 Action Point cards, 6 Diamond Hunter role playing cards, 6 Character tokens, a dice and the Africa Board. I enjoyed playing Ira's game. It was fun and it enhances your capability in Analyzing things.
